A little backstory from the founder.

I started Creative Catalyst as an outlet for my passion to write, that my peers would recognize as more than a business, but a mission. My life experience so far has taught me that while many different skills are required for an organization’s success, quality writing that preserves powerful messages for long-term consumer connections is often sacrificed in favor of marketing strategies geared towards immediate gratification. Vapid commercials or ads may attract short-term attention, but stories and missions that show originality and humanity and are cemented through writing have permanent staying power.

What tends to be the case with the clients I work with is I become invested in spreading the aspects of a project that are born out of an authentic desire to show respect or goodwill towards their consumer base or society as a whole. Even for bustling businesses, seeing consumers as more than transactional entities builds trust, respect, and interest, and this approach pays huge dividends for businesses who see its benefits. My role has been and remains to uplift the messages of organizations who I respect, provide a conduit from brand to consumer and build a foundation for long-term success. I’d love to help with your next project and catalyze your business’s consumer presence!

A little about me.

My name is John Campbell, and I hail from Dallas, TX. I attended Texas A&M University (Gig Em!) and I graduated with a BA in English in May of 2019. From the beginning of my college education, I was fascinated by the power of the written word. This interest was fueled by the incredible array of classic literature I was introduced to through my major, and the professors I had that explained everything from the methodology behind weaving an entertaining short story, the nuances of writing in a business context, and the outsized influence written or spoken rhetoric can have on an audience or society at large. Following my graduation, I moved to New York City and I took a job on the fundraising team of a nonprofit, where I further developed my writing skills in the unique context of grant proposals (I was also freelancing on the side for a content marketing agency that specialized in crafting snappy web copy). As I learned and absorbed the multiple facets of professional writing on the job, I started Creative Catalyst to combine all my interests and skills gained from my work experiences into one enterprise. I have remained in New York since then but I cater to clients across the nation.
